Stonington Institute is committed toproviding quality substance abuse treatment options for adultsin Southeastern Connecticut and surrounding areas. We offermedical detox aswell as residential addictions treatment for active duty and retiredmilitary service members in ourNorth Stonington location. Our clinic in Groton, CT, offers partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment, and is convenientlylocatedacross the street from The Inn at Trails Corner, a new 180 bed dormitory-style sober community for adult men and women who attend our outpatient day treatment programs. The Inn offers overnightaccommodations, full-meal service, indoor/outdoor recreation options, a workout room, andcomputercenter for all clients.We accept private insurance, state-fundedplansand self-pay arrangements.

Position Summary:

The Program Manageris responsible forthe supervision ofthe residentialaides (RAs) and management of unit operations. The Program Manager implements all Institute policies and procedurespertaining tothe safety and security of clients, Institute property and the community and helps to provide a safe environment for clients whilefacilitatingcounseling, advocacy, and support.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Overseeand superviseall Residential Aide staff, including regular supervisionand communicationas required by agencypolicies and procedures.
  • Monitor the units to ensure that they areoperatedin compliance with all agency policies and procedures.
  • Process weekly payroll.
  • Create andmaintainRA schedules with consideration for employment status and program needs (including approval of planned time off, arrangement of coverage for shiftsin the event ofcall outs, ensuring staff withappropriate drivingprivileges are scheduled when transportation is needed).
  • Coordinate the scheduling and management of client transportation needs (including admission/discharge, emergency, and unit activity-related transportation).
  • Coordinate the scheduling and management of on-campus self-help meetings (including AA/NA).
  • Maintain Treatment Tracker.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred. 1115 Waiver-Recognized License/Certification preferred. Effective written and verbal communication skills, including ability to effectively interface with relevant community agencies and military command. General knowledge of community resources for Tricare, Veterans, and Medicaid populations. Ability to exercisethejudgment, leadership, and teaching abilityneeded tointeract with all relevant stakeholders in the behavioral healthcare system.
