The Senior Internal Controls Analyst will play a crucial role in strengthening and scaling the Company's internal control environment to align with evolving compliance and reporting expectations. This position partners closely with Accounting, IT, and cross-functional stakeholders to design, implement, and enhance ICFR processes in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

The role offers broad exposure across the business and the opportunity to influence control design at the intersection of accounting, technology, and operations. The ideal candidate brings a balance of strategic-thinking and hands-on execution, with the ability to support external advisors while independently driving initiatives to completion.


You will:

  • Partner cross-functionally with teams including Payroll, Human Resources, Sales Operations, Finance to design controls
  • Lead initiatives to automate and streamline manual controls and recurring audit activities, improving efficiency and scalability.
  • Coordinate with external advisors and internal stakeholders to execute control documentation, walkthroughs, and testing efforts.
  • Partner with external auditors to provide timely, organized documentation and support for ICFR testing.
  • Work with process owners to develop corrective action plans, monitor remediation progress, and implement sustainable control enhancements.
  • Participate in periodic risk assessments and process evaluations to ensure continued alignment with enterprise risk priorities and evolving business needs.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance control effectiveness, strengthen compliance, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Support special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned.


You have:

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience.
  • 3-4 years of experience related to audit practices.
  • Knowledge and understanding of ICFR and US GAAP principles.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Works well in a team environment, as well as independently.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills .


You have an advantage if:

  • CPA, CISA, CIA certification or working towards licensure.
  • Experience in a high-growth or pre-IPO environment.
  • Familiarity with systems such as Netsuite, Salesforce and Coupa.
  • Demonstrate a naturally curious mindset with a strong desire to understand how processes function and operate in practice.
  • Ability to build cross-functional relationships and influence stakeholders.


Salary Range: $88,000-$110,000

In accordance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) the approximate compensation range for this role in Colorado is listed above. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors, such as knowledge, skills, and abilities.
