Senior Advanced Systems Engineer

ACARA Solutions and our client in Canonsburg PA, have a contract to hire position available. (They will hire directly at 6 month)

In this role, you will join a cross-functional engineering team responsible for the requirements analysis, definition, and management of advanced systems supporting the United States Navy. You will contribute to the technical design, integration, and production success of ruggedized electronics and mission systems.

• Analyze, define, and manage system requirements across the development lifecycle

• Perform functional and performance analysis to support system architecture and design

• Lead systems integration activities for ruggedized electronics and mission systems

• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure design, test, and production success

• Support system-level planning, strategy presentations, and technical investigations

• Establish and present strategies and plans to internal and external stakeholders

• Support failure investigation and root cause analysis activities

• Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering or Science or Engineering or Technology or Mathematics with 8 years of experience.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience with complex, cutting edge technological contracts
• Minimum of 8 years of experience SysML/UML tools like MagicDraw.
• Minimum of 8 years of Systems Engineering experience.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience with DOORS, MATLAB, Jira, and Agile methodologies.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience with Requirements Flow-down & Traceability.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience with System Architecture and integration.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience working complex programs with multi-disciplinary engineering teams.

• Master's Degree with 6 years of experience.
• Agile experience.
• Demonstrated skill driving the system-level requirements down to the design and test levels.
• Demonstrated use and understanding of systems engineering strategies, principles, and measures.
• Success leading the systems development life cycle with strong proficiency with requirements management and system modeling tools.
• Creative thinker motivated to apply technical standards and methodologies to develop solutions.
• Collaborative team player with the ability to provide technical leadership and position others for success.
• Strong presentation and communications skills with experience in the art of negotiation and the ability to meet challenging customer requirements with win-win solutions.

• Requires the ability to obtain an Active Secret Clearance.
