Position Summary/Essential Functions: The Quality Engineer 2 is responsible for technical support to the Quality Assurance Department. The position requires a technical background sufficient to assist in procedure development, identifying root cause of the problem, and to provide joint technical interface between Engineering and Manufacturing. Responsibilities: * Statistical techniques, i.e., failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), reliability failure analysis, design of experiments, statistical decision making, and statistical process control (SPC) and Six Sigma implementation. * Implementation and management of Zero Defect methodologies, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and other principles for various customer programs. * Light housekeeping in inspection department, keeping inspection equipment and work stations clean. Position involves ability to frequently or constantly exert up to 20 pounds of force and occasionally exert up to 50 pounds of force to move or lift objects.
