Utz Quality Foods is seeking an MRO Planner to join our Maintenance Department out of our Goodyear, AZ facility. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this position will work in the maintenance department and requisition maintenance equipment, parts, and supplies for the Goodyear plant utilizing the EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) system. Additional responsibilities include monitoring and adjusting inventory levels to sustain plant needs, working with Service POs for work performed by outside contractors, and performing miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

The successful candidate will have the interpersonal skills needed to negotiate with vendors and the ability to make sound purchasing decisions. This candidate will also have strong planning and organizational skills with great attention to detail, flexibility and resourcefulness to locate and requisition non-stock items to facilitate timely repairs, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds when needed. Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and Infor Enterprise Asset Management system (EAM) is also required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



  • Generate requisitions in EAM for all maintenance equipment, parts, and supply purchases.
  • Solicit and review vendor quotations for all parts not included in automatic re-order point reports.
  • Receive, label, and stock parts notifying the requisitioners of received shipments.
  • Work with department supervisors to adjust inventory levels to minimum sustainable levels.
  • Responsible for coordinating cycle counts and ensuring inventory accuracy
  • Review and receive service PO's and associated work order for outside contractor services
  • Review opportunities to consolidate vendors, negotiate pricing, and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Provide maintenance reporting through the EAM.
  • Any other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
  • Daily short-term exposures to moderate noise, heat, dirt, and slippery floors.
  • Required to work on-site.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES NEEDED:



  • Interpersonal skills needed to negotiate with vendors.
  • Ability to work with EAM and D365 purchasing programs.
  • Able to make sound purchasing decisions.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Flexible and resourceful to react to equipment break downs and meeting repair and installation deadlines.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical parts usage.
  • Requires strong mathematical capabilities.
