Position Overview

At Exact Sciences, we are cancer fighters. We are united by our mission to change lives by providing earlier, smarter answers. Through advances in cancer detection and treatment guidance, we will help eradicate the disease and the suffering it causes.

This role focuses on proactive outreach to healthcare providers to drive awareness and adoption of oncology solutions. By leveraging strategic communication, performance tracking, and cross-functional collaboration, the role helps advance the utilization of precision oncology offerings - including OncoDetect, OncoExTra, and RiskGuard - while supporting improved patient outcomes. The individual in this role will connect with healthcare providers and their care teams through virtual channels, such as phone and Microsoft Teams, to foster collaboration, streamline communication, and provide ongoing support.

We have 2 openings on the team (1 for the West and 1 for the East region). These are fully onsite roles in Madison, WI, with relocation assistance available if needed. Enjoy access to amenities including a cafeteria, coffee shop, fitness center, and ergonomic workstations.

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Executes outbound calls to healthcare providers to promote precision oncology products to support patient care.
  • Engages with clinical stakeholders to understand practice needs and identify opportunities for product adoption.
  • Educates providers on product benefits, clinical data, and implementation strategies.
  • Documents all customer interactions and insights in CRM systems to support account planning.
  • Collaborates with internal teams to align on customer engagement strategies and follow-up actions.
  • Monitors account activity and performance metrics to inform future outreach and optimize engagement.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including strong questioning and listening skills.
  • Confident, professional, and creditable presence. Demonstrates professionalism in the workplace.
  • Strong presentationskills; consistently demonstrates proficiency to convey concepts in a clear, concise, and professional manner through telephone and virtual interactions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.

  • Ability to travel locally and occasionally overnight travel up to 10% of time based on business needs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a field related to essential duties; or Associates Degree and 2 years of relevant experience.; or High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 4 years of relevant experience.
  • 2+ years of relevant job-related experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous Exact Sciences sales, inside sale or account management experience.
  • Expertise in computer technology that is specific to virtual sales.
  • Experience in sales of medical devices or diagnostics.
  • Clinical background (education or experience) and/or working in the healthcare space including oncology.
  • Experience working with clinicians, health system administrators and/or healthcare community.
  • Background in commissioned, tangible product sales.
  • Ability to listen empathetically, understand information presented by people with different communication styles and different points of view, and mediate disagreements.
  • Effective organizational and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work confidently in an environment of complexity and ambiguity.
  • Ability to create value for others through the presentation of new processes and concepts.
  • Able toproductively and proactively contribute to a team environment, while demonstrating ability to manage workload and priorities independently.
  • Ability to function productively within a fast-paced, multi-tasking, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Ability to work on telephone and on a computer simultaneously.

Salary Range:

$49,000.00 - $74,000.00

The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis. In addition, this position is bonus eligible.
