| Primary Function of Organizational Unit |
The Division of Research and Sponsored Programs (
DRSP) at North Carolina Central University (
NCCU) oversees research activities, focusing on acquiring external funding, managing grants, fostering scholarly work, regulatory research compliance, and acceleration and commercialization of research-derived innovation. The Division is comprised of research institutes -
JLC-
BBRI and
BRITE as well as the Office of Sponsored Research and Programs and Office of Research Compliance & Technology Transfer. |
| Primary Purpose of Position |
The Research Scientist - Data Analytics, Evaluation & Mixed-Methods Population Health will support the programmatic objectives of the Duke-
CTSA award. |
| Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |
- Experience in community-engaged or participatory research.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience working with rural or underserved communities.

Doctorate (PhD, DrPH, ScD, or equivalent) in Public Health, Epidemiology, Behavioral/Social Sciences, Community Psychology, Sociology, or related field. |

Lead the design, analysis, and reporting of mixed-methods and quantitative studies.
Participate in Duke
CTSI translational research and analytics projects.
Develop an independent, extramurally funded research agenda aligned with community-engaged translational population health. |
