Position Summary:

The Radiology Registered Nurse- Per Diem provides professional nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures in an outpatient setting. The RN supports safe patient care before, during and after imaging procedures, including administration and monitoring of contrast agents and assistance with breast imaging procedures. This role requires flexibility to float between all outpatient radiology locations and availability to work weekend shifts as scheduled. (2 weekend shifts per month)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing outpatient radiology procedures
  • Perform patient assessment, preparation and monitoring before, during and after imaging exams and procedures
  • Administer IV contrast agents and medications per protocol while monitoring patients for adverse reactions
  • Initiate and maintain IV access for imaging procedures requiring contrast administration
  • Assist radiologists with breast procedures including biopsies, localizations and aspirations
  • Provide patient education regarding procedures, preparation and post-procedure care
  • Monitor patients for complications related to contrast administration and procedures, initiating appropriate interventions when necessary
  • Document assessments, procedures, medications and patient responses in patient's EMR
  • Ensure compliance of safety protocols, infection prevention standards and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Current and unrestricted RN licensure in the state of practice
  • ACLS certification
  • Proven ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to work independently
  • Proven good communication, writing, and organizational skills

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $28.94 to $51.63 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
