Days About our Rehabilitation Unit:We are also known as Acute Rehab, ARU or Inpatient Rehab. Rehabilitation nursing offers a gratifying career for nurses who want to use all of their clinical skills, make a visible difference in their patients' lives, and work as part of a collaborative healthcare team. We provide comprehensive collaborative care to all adult and adult geriatric patients with neurological and other medical conditions of resent onset or regression and who have experienced loss of functions in activities of daily living, mobility, cognition, or communication. Frequent diagnoses: CVA, brain injury, spinal injury, amputation, hip fracture, joint replacement, and other neurological syndromes. Education: High school diploma, G.E.D., CNA/CPCT or enrolled in a healthcare career program through their high school curriculum, and/or a current co-worker of Mercy.
