Position Description Modine is looking for an experienced, hands-on SAP Functional Analyst (MM/PP & MES) to join our Enterprise Applications team.In this role, you will collaborate alongside our established SAP functional team to drive solution design, system configuration, and continuous enhancements across our global manufacturing footprint. This position is ideal for a strong SAP practitioner with deep hands-on expertise who enjoys tackling complex configuration challenges and is looking to expand their solution architecture capabilities.You will partner closely with peer functional analysts, technical developers, and plant operations to support both our active SAP ECC 6.0 environments and our forward-looking SAP S/4HANA initiatives, while helping design scalable integrations with shop-floor Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). Key Responsibilities Hands-on Configuration & Solution Design: Perform hands-on system configuration and functional design within SAP MM (Purchasing, Inventory Management/SLOC, Valuation, Batch Management) and SAP PP (MRP, BOMs, Routings, Work Centers, Production Orders, Shop Floor Control). Collaborative Project Delivery: Partner with peer SAP analysts and workstream leads on key initiatives, including plant ERP onboarding, company code transitions, cutover execution, data conversion, and hypercare support. ECC & S/4HANA Roadmap Support: Support operational excellence within our current SAP ECC 6.0 landscape while actively participating in future-state solution design and process alignment for SAP S/4HANA. MES & Plant Integrations: Collaborate on designing and maintaining reliable interfaces between SAP MM/PP, shop-floor Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), warehouse solutions, and middleware platforms. WRICEF Specification Delivery: Author detailed functional specifications for custom developments, user exits, BAPIs, and IDocs/APIs; collaborate with ABAP and integration developers through build, unit, and integration testing. Cross-Module Alignment: Work in tandem with functional peers across CO-PC (Product Costing), SD, QM, and FI to ensure seamless cross-module process integration and resolve complex valuation/posting issues. Continuous Improvement & Operational Support: Provide advanced functional troubleshooting for complex escalations, share module knowledge with team members, and promote standard SAP best practices. Required Education & Qualifications Required Qualifications:Functional Experience: 5+ years of hands-on SAP functional configuration and design experience in SAP MM and SAP PP within an industrial or discrete manufacturing environment. Platform Expertise: Solid foundation in SAP ECC 6.0 with practical working exposure, project participation, or training in SAP S/4HANA. Project Lifecycle Track Record: Experience participating in full-lifecycle SAP implementations, major upgrades, plant rollouts, or ERP separation/migration programs. Technical & Integration Acumen: Ability to read basic ABAP, debug standard/custom transactions, design interface specifications (IDocs, APIs), and navigate cross-module integration with CO-PC, SD, or QM. Collaborative Problem Solver: Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment, partner with fellow functional analysts, and translate plant operational needs into clean SAP solutions. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Engineering, or equivalent practical industry experience. Preferred Qualifications:Experience interfacing SAP PP/MM with third-party MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) or shop-floor data collection systems.Exposure to S/4HANA sourcing, procurement, or manufacturing migration activities and Fiori apps.
