About the Opportunity:

As a Manufacturing Engineer I, you will contribute to process development, quality improvement, and productivity enhancement in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet customer specifications and standards while developing foundational expertise in manufacturing engineering.

Location: Stuart, FL

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement efficient manufacturing process plans with guidance from senior engineers, specifying sequence, technique, equipment, and tooling requirements.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and sketches to ensure product compliance with customer requirements.
  • Assist in process capability analysis for CNC Program generation or changes
  • Support the design and engineering of tooling for manufacturing processes.
  • Work closely with shop floor associates to troubleshoot and resolve production challenges.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen or Six Sigma to optimize processes.
  • Review and recommend modifications to customer blueprints and other documentation with supervision.
  • Maintain compliance with Pursuit Aerospace's quality systems, safety protocols, and operational standards.
  • Participate in Kaizen workshops
  • Operate in a hands-on environment where engineers are expected to be on the shop floor 50%+ of the time supporting the operators and operations

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of manufacturing engineering experience
  • Experience working in an AS9100 environment
  • Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering degree is preferred.
  • CAD skills preferred - NX / Solid Edge
  • Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and technical documents.
  • Familiarity with CNC programming and tooling design.
  • Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in a climate-controlled, well lit, and reasonably clean aerospace manufacturing environment. Noise levels are generally below 80 decibels.
  • Most work is performed on the shop floor in a manufacturing environment with required PPE.
  • Role involves standing, walking, climbing stairs, and moving around equipment during daily activities.
  • May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, or lifting items up to 25 pounds.
  • Work requires use of hands and arms to handle and manipulate parts, tools, and equipment.
  • Tasks include a blend of hands-on activities with parts, tools, and equipment, and technical work such as reviewing data and using computer-based systems.
  • Frequent interaction and communication with production teams, supply chain, and customers in a dynamic environment.
  • Extended periods of focus and attention to detail may be required when working on technical projects.
