Job Description

The Storekeeper Attendant utilizes SAP MM to monitor MRO stocking requirements, while adhering to all supply room policies and procedures. This position will primarily support the plant maintenance organization by maintaining accurate inventory levels and providing responsive services and functions to sustain maintenance efficiencies. The position may also be tasked with similar responsibilities towards plant operations by monitoring and managing specific operating supplies, e.g., gloves, safety PPE, etc. The Storekeeper Attendant will work under the direction of the Corporate MRO Inventory Manager with dotted line responsibility to key plant team members. Primary functions of this role will include receiving, issuing, cleaning, organizing, maintaining, counting, kitting and recording activities that ensure material quality and readiness are provided on demand.

Job Responsibilities

The following is a list of specific duties and responsibilities that align with the essential functions of this job. This list should not be considered comprehensive, and the employee that occupies this position is expected to assume additional duties assigned by the Corporate MRO Inventory Manager, including potential recommendations by plant leadership. The MRO Supply Associate will be provided with the necessary time to complete required tasks and the Associate increases value through flexibility and responsiveness to the customer(s).

Maintains a safe, clean, and organized supply room to protect all Southwire assets.

Performs assigned cycle counts and reviews of count accuracy reporting to maintain an acceptable level of accuracy.

Receives, validates, inspects, stores, and issues supply room inventory.

Performs assigned preventive tasks to maintain material and room conditions.

Maintains good relationships with vendors and ensures process adherence and expectations are provided for vendor-managed inventory opportunities.

Provides material kitting on demand for planned and scheduled maintenance activities.

Operates in a virtual supply room environment exhibited by the ability to effectively transact in the SAP MM environment and communicate with external supply rooms during episodes of material shortage.

Reviews automated requisitioning (MRP generated) to validate order requirements.

Manages a responsive repair material process to avoid negative impact to maintenance budgets.

Joins leadership in evaluating performance based on safety, cleanliness, preventive compliance, organization, count accuracy, and adherence to policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements

High School diploma

One year experience in a similar inventory management role.

Preferred Requirements

Associates degree

Two years experience in inventory management.

Knowledge of SAP MM, Microsoft Office Suite, Forklift License
