A Brief Overview
The Senior Manager Learning and Development is responsible for leading the design, delivery, and evaluation of learning programs that strengthen organizational capability and support long-term talent development. This role partners with leadership to align learning strategies with business objectives, oversees a team of training professionals, and ensures all programs are impactful, measurable, and compliant with company standards. This position also drives innovation in learning methodologies and fosters a culture of continuous improvement.

What you will do



  • Collaborates with senior leaders to identify learning needs and ensure programs align with organizational goals and workforce development priorities.
  • Creates and implements comprehensive learning programs using adult learning principles, instructional design best practices, and modern delivery methods.
  • Establishes KPIs and success measures for all programs; analyzes data to assess effectiveness and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure all training initiatives meet regulatory requirements and adhere to company policies and quality standards.
  • Oversees onboarding programs and position-specific learning for leaders and staff to ensure consistent knowledge transfer.
  • Coaches and mentors train managers and facilitators to enhance instructional capabilities and maintain high-quality delivery.
  • Leads complex learning projects, including planning, resource allocation, and timeline management; monitors progress and reports to stakeholders.
  • Regularly reviews and updates learning content, leveraging feedback and industry trends to enhance program relevance.
  • Builds strong relationships across departments to ensure alignment and support for learning initiatives.
  • Manages updates to the Learning Management System (LMS), tracks participation, and maintains accurate learning records.
  • Plans and manages training budgets, ensuring efficient resource use.
  • Stays current on L&D trends and represents the organization at conferences and professional events.
  • Assists with participation in strategic plans and company goals.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree in Learning and Development, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business Administration, or related field Required
  • Master's Degree advanced degree or certifications in Learning & Development, Instructional Design, or Organizational Development Preferred
  • 7-9 years Progressive experience in learning and development, including program design, facilitation, and evaluation. Required and
  • 7-9 years Experience managing enterprise-wide learning initiatives and leading L&D teams. Preferred
  • 4-6 years Proven success in developing leadership and technical training programs.
  • 7-9 years Strong background in project management and stakeholder engagement.
  • 1-3 years Familiarity with learning technologies and LMS platforms.
  • Adult learning theory and instructional design principles.
  • Evaluation methodologies and measurement of learning effectiveness.
  • Organizational development and change management strategies.
  • Regulatory and compliance requirements related to training.
  • Advanced project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication abilities.
  • Data analysis and the ability to translate insights into actionable improvements.
  • Proficiency in learning technologies, LMS platforms, and digital content development tools.
  • Perform needs assessments and convert findings into effective learning solutions.
  • Influence and build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Manage multiple priorities and complex projects simultaneously.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and organizational growth.
  • Travel as needed to support training initiatives.
