Job Description - Audio Visual (AV) Technician We are seeking experienced AV Technicians with at least 1+ year of handson experience configuring and installing audiovisual systems. This includes rack installation, cameras, microphones, conferencing equipment, displays/TVs, and integration into centralized systems. Candidates with experience working with Cisco Room Kits, Extron, Crestron, or BiAmp are strongly preferred. Tip: Candidates may be asked to provide examples or a scope of previous AV work for context. Responsibilities * Install, configure, and test AV equipment to ensure full functionality before leaving the job site. * Perform structured cabling tasks including terminating jacks, punchdowns, and completing work inside communication closets. * Use punchdown tools with 66 and 110 blades, snips, knives, and other standard lowvoltage tools. * Follow lowvoltage wiring standards and NEC requirements. * Ensure all cabling is neatly routed and concealed where possible. * Work in a clientfacing environment-professional appearance and communication are required. * Collaborate with onsite permanent staff and support additional cabling or troubleshooting as needed. * Provide your own laptop for configuration work or remote support sessions from corporate teams. Skills * Audio Visual installation & configuration * CATV * Termination & testing * Low-voltage wiring * Rack installation * Troubleshooting AV systems Additional Requirements * Ability to climb 8-10 ft ladders. * Must have a reliable vehicle to travel to weekly job sites. * Must have a personal credit card for reimbursable expenses (reimbursed according to standard benchmarks). Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Wilmington, NC. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
