Panorama's Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center is a 155 bed skilled nursing facility that includes long term care, a 30 bed short stay sub-acute unit and a 20 bed "Gentle Care" (dementia) unit. Each of our 5 units is staffed with a team of certified nursing assistants, a licensed nurse and a nurse manager. Nursing staff partner closely with our Therapy Department, Restorative Nursing, Dietary, Licensed Social Workers, Activities staff and Health Information staff to provide the highest quality of individualized care to our residents.



The role of the Nurse Manager is to direct, implement, evaluate and supervise education programs and resident care. Skilled Nursing/Long-term Care nurses apply their special caring touch as they, delegate, coordinate and deliver patient care to ensure resident care meets our high standards of quality care, effectiveness, patient rights and family relations. They also supervise the care delivered by the patient care team, coordinate care plans, educate patients and their families and collaborate with other staff, including activities and social services.

  1. Direct and implement facility education programs
  2. Direct, evaluate and supervise all resident care. Assess resident equipment and supply needs. Identify and address areas of concern or unusual situations including emergencies and "life saving" measures in the absences of a physician.
  3. Coordinate and analyze quality assurance measures.
  4. Make daily rounds on residents and staff
  5. Participate in resident care conferences
  6. Supervise, mentor and counsel licensed nurse/CNA staff
  7. Coordinate with Central Supply on inventory, suppliers and vendors.
  8. Perform functions of charge nurse


Requirements:

  1. High school diploma/GED
  2. Current Washington State RN or LPN license
  3. Experience in Skilled Nursing/Long Term Care preferred
  4. Experience supervising others preferred
