Employees are assigned to any shift, with any combination of days off, determined by the needs of the Department We Also Value Bilingual in English and Spanish Experience with data entry, automated data processing, and financial balancing Job Contributions Respond to incoming calls from customers regarding animal activities and licensing Listen carefully and speak clearly, providing information and assistance Create dispatch activities for the Field Team in a timely manner to ensure we safely serve the community Generate bite and rabies exposure reports, detailing the information received from the caller in the database and following up as necessary Track and log information for Public Health epidemiology and the State Laboratory regarding rabies exposure Research and follow-up on billing notice copies, past due notices, and final notices for animal licensing Process and track license applications, renewals, and exceptions for dog licensing Perform data entry into Chameleon, updating information regarding animals or persons Open, sort, and distribute incoming/outgoing mail Provide information and clarification regarding anti-rabies vaccination statutes to the veterinarian community Working Conditions This position is typically office or administrative work and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions Exerting up to 10 lbs. occasionally or negligible weights frequently; sitting most of the time Selection Procedure Consideration will only be given to candidates who submit online applications Candidates will be contacted primarily through email and their Workday online application profile Must pass a pre-employment background and/or fingerprint investigation as required by statute or policy, including drug and alcohol testing requirements for positions designated as safety-sensitive Maricopa County is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all applicants.
