Salary offers are based on the candidate's equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification. This position is eligible for overtime compensation for all hours worked over 40 in the designated workweek.

As a Medical Inventory Worker, you will maintain appropriate stock levels, process supply orders, and handle the procuring, receiving, inspecting, returning, distributing, maintaining, and disposing of medical supplies and equipment. This role includes managing medical inventory, fulfilling supply requests, and using inventory control systems to accurately track and update stock.

We Require

  • One year of related warehouse or inventory control experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • An equivalent combination of education and related experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis

Other Requirements

Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hire.

We Also Value

  • Two or more years of related warehouse or inventory control experience
  • Experience with CGI/Advantage
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Job Contributions

  • Receives, reconciles, inventories, and sorts product deliveries
  • Delivers products and supplies to CHS clinics and CHS administrative areas within the Maricopa County Jail system
  • Maintains inventory levels for designated medical supplies, preventing overstock and rotating items nearing expiration
  • Manages "return to stock" items and processes vendor returns promptly
  • Tracks supply distribution using computerbased inventory software
  • Maintains logs, records, and performs routine clerical tasks as assigned
  • Follows HIPAA rules and guidelines to protect patient confidentiality
  • Operates a county vehicle to deliver and transfer medications, medical supplies, records, and specimens between jail facilities
  • Assists with moving and setting up materials, equipment, and furniture when approved by the supervisor

Working Conditions

  • Works regularly in a standard office environment, requiring the ability to sit and perform duties on a computer for long periods of time
  • At times, you may be required to work inside a jail or travel to work locations within a 5-mile radius
  • This position requires accurately handling a high volume of work and adapting to frequent changes, interruptions, and unscheduled tasks
  • Must be able to pass a fingerprint background check and maintain MCSO jail access
