As an Industrial Project Manager, you become the stabilizing force that keeps that system humming. You map the plan, anticipate the pressure points, navigate field realities, and turn intricate industrial work into coordinated execution. You'll bridge conversations between owners, engineers, contractors, and crews while ensuring safety, budget, and quality stay locked in. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Establish project goals and timelines for each awarded project, clearly defining objectives, risks, assumptions, staffing levels, roles and responsibilities, work breakdown structures, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Manage all project startup requirements.
  • Oversee administrative project tasks, including securing building permits, ensuring code compliance, and fulfilling other required approvals.
  • Provide oversight, direction, and support to project crews.
  • Prepare budgets, estimates, construction schedules, progress updates, and monthly reports.
  • Attend project coordination meetings and owner/contractor/architect/engineer meetings as required.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses, risk assessments, and ROI evaluations to determine project feasibility.
  • Lead and manage site meetings, RFIs, invoices, change orders, and the document control process.
  • Monitor and track all project costs to ensure completion within budget.
  • Oversee the preparation and finalization of contractor and trade contracts, ensuring timely resolution of all issues.
  • Manage a wide range of stakeholders, including site superintendents, subcontractors, designers, estimators, and general contractors.
  • Identify and resolve conflicts within project teams and develop contingency plans to mitigate risks.
  • Ensure adherence to all company, client, and project policies, procedures, and standards, including the enforcement of safe practices during site visits.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers and regulatory partners.
  • Actively participate in programs, policies, and initiatives that support the overall success of the company and its parent corporation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Required Education & Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline PLUS two years or more of experience in construction; OR six years progressively responsible industry experience, is required.
  • General commercial or industrial mechanical construction experience-or industrial insulation experience-is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of industrial construction equipment, techniques, drawings, specifications, building materials, and all applicable standards for the discipline.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, estimating software/systems, filesharing platforms, and strong typing skills.
  • Ability to follow and initiate necessary actions related to project support, safety, and compliance.


Other Details:



  • This role is based on-site at our Duluth, MN office.
  • Must be willing and able to travel 50-75% of the time to be on project/customer work sites.
  • May include longer days and weekend work as needed for project support.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.

Compensation & Benefits:



  • The expected annual compensation range for this position is $67,700-$101,500. Compensation offered to the selected candidate will vary depending on relevant knowledge, skills, training, experience, and market conditions.
