Job Overview:

The Injection Molding Operator is responsible for the setup and operation of injection molding machinery and related equipment. This role ensures the efficient production of high-quality molded cases, accessories, and diffusers by managing raw materials, performing post-molding assembly, and maintaining strict quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities:


  • Monitor machines during automatic and semi-automatic modes to ensure continual, efficient production and minimize material waste.

  • Load and remove inserts from molded parts and molds during the production process.

  • Perform post-molding tasks including inspecting, degating, grinding runners, removing flash, and cleaning parts.

  • Operate assembly machinery to complete finished parts following the injection molding process.

  • Apply specific color-coded markings to all assembled parts to accurately differentiate between diffuser models.

  • Pack finished diffusers according to specifications and transport them to the PVC Fabrication unit for further processing.

  • Troubleshoot and fix operational issues during the production run to maintain machine uptime and part consistency.

  • Maintain established quality and quantity standards while following all prescribed safety precautions and company policies.

  • Detect and report improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials, or unsafe conditions to supervision immediately.

  • Identify and label boxes, packages, and products accurately as instructed by shop orders or quality control.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.

  • Complete all production, quality, and inspection paperwork accurately, including records required by SQF modules.

  • Assist other plant or warehouse classifications as needed and work overtime as scheduled by management.



Requirements:


  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

  • 1+ years of Injection Molding Operation experence



Core Competencies:


  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to use hand and power tools.

  • Ability to follow detailed shop orders and technical instructions.

  • Commitment to safety and the ability to use required safety equipment at all times.

  • Physical ability to handle material loading, machine operation, and the transport of finished goods.



Preferences:


  • Experience in a plastics manufacturing environment.

  • Familiarity with quality control sampling and inspection protocols.

  • Forklift operation experience or certification.



Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements:

This position will be based at our site in Sedalia, MO no travel.
