POSITION SUMMARY The Electronics Buyer is responsible for sourcing and procurement of direct materials for electronic commodity with emphasis of CCA, PWB, cables assemblies parts to support manufacturing operations and new business development. This role includes negotiating financial and delivery terms and places POs at the best total value (with verifiable justification) based on FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation) requirements. The Electronics Buyer will work closely with the sourcing /commodity manager and supplier quality engineer, recommends and selects alternate sources to leverage capacity, delivery, quality, and cost. The Electronics Buyer will be responsible for the procurement of fabricated parts, including but not limited to, machined parts, castings/forgings, extrusions and modified COTS parts while managing the entire procurement activities. Accountable for supplier OTD and quality. Represents procurement team in supplier meetings.
