Summary: TheSanitation Managerleads a teamof up to 20employees. This positionsupervises and coordinatestheactivities of workers engaged in duties concerned with sanitation programs inafood processing establishment by performing the following duties:

Essential Functions:

  • Inspects products and equipment for conformity to federal and state sanitation laws and plant standards
  • Directs food handlers and production personnel in sanitary and pest-control procedures
  • Directs cleaning of equipment and work areas
  • Inspects premises for unsanitary practices and conditions
  • Confers with management and production personnel on sanitation problems, and recommends changes in equipment, plant layout, lighting, ventilation, or work practices to improve sanitation standards and purity of product
  • Compiles required reportsregardingregular inspections, sanitation violations, and steps taken to resolve deficiencies
  • Routes reports to designated plant personnel
  • Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment
  • Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Analyzes and resolves workproblems orassistsworkers in solving work problems.
  • Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals
  • Maintains time and production records
  • Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
  • Performs other duties as requested or assigned
  • Maintain inventories of supplies and equipment and place orders through the purchasing department as needed.
  • Train and/or arrange for training of new employeesandmaintainsregularschedule of training updates for all employees.

AdditionalFunctions:

  • Acquiresknowledge of Trident's Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activitiesin accordance withtraining and procedures/work instructions.
  • Notifiesdesignated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented,in accordance withEnvironmental Awareness and/or safetytraining.
  • All other duties as assigned.

This is a salaried exempt position with an annualized salary range of $80,000 to $110,000per year.

Minimum Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of2years'leadership experience in Sanitation in a manufacturing environment.
  • HS Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Education & Experiences:

  • Four-year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have experience working with and generating a Master Sanitation Schedule.
  • Experience with third party regulatory agencies such as BRC, AIB, GFS, SQF, FDA.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Knowledge of the GMP,HACCPand Environmental sanitation programsis preferred.
  • Ability towriteroutine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,operatingand maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Must be able toworka flexible schedule with days and nights during the week and weekends.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.

The employee is frequently required to climb or balance.

The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
