Job Description

Responsible for helping define New Balance's strategic direction to achieve its aggressive growth targets. This role will work closely with senior leaders and high performing mid-level managers on a wide range of corporate initiatives. This includes brainstorming high-level strategic goals and concepts, then building out business cases/proposals that will serve as both the internal sales pitch for initiatives and the playbook for later stages of implementation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 2+ years of balanced business experience, preferably in a consulting, agency, consumer products, or ecommerce environment.
  • Currently enrolled in top-level MBA program.
  • Exceptional and compelling written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong quantitative skills and analytical skills; ability to take large amounts of data and clearly communicate actionable recommendations. Fluency in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Professional and confident with an ability to work with all levels of the organization, especially senior level leaders.
  • Capacity to work and communicate across business groups (e.g. IT, marketing, sales, and ecomm teams) and serve as the strategic linchpin.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically, including improvements to existing concepts, and creation of new innovate ideas.
  • Dual capacities for collaborative brainstorming and independent ownership of work.
  • Ability to own and manage project initiatives from concept through execution.
  • Experience developing business cases, both quantitative and qualitative elements.
  • Genuine personal interest and enthusiasm for our brand.
  • Desire to obsess over innovative improvements to the New Balance customer experience/service.
  • Commitment to New Balance's history and cultural focus on community service/charity/civic responsibility through athletics and community service.
  • Stay engaged with team and key stakeholders by sharing and welcoming new and different ideas and perspectives that can add value to business goals and/or improved processes.
  • Experience working with different communication styles
  • Interest and ability to learn quickly in a competitive industry and ever-changing business environment.
Boston, MA Headquarters - (NB) Only Pay Range: $25.15 - $31.45 - $37.75 Hourly (actual base pay varying based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, internal equity, geographic location, and more.)

Flexible Work Schedule

For decades we have fostered a unique culture founded on our values with a particular focus on in-person teamwork and collaboration. Our North American hybrid model encourages rich in-person experiences, showcasing our commitment to teamwork and connection, while maintaining flexibility for associates. New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Our offices are fully open, and amenities are available across our North American office locations. To continue our focus on hybrid work we have introduced "Work from Anywhere" (WFA) for four weeks per calendar year. This model will help us enhance our culture while continuing to maintain elements of flexibility.
