POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS

Housing and Residence Life

* Focus on and be accountable for housing annual occupancy goals

* Collaborate with Admissions and Marketing on recruiting new housing residents

* Maintain office hours at housing location and Dunwoody's main campus including evening and weekend hours

* Coordinate smooth and successful move-ins and move-outs for our students

* Implement, and maintain a robust inclusive and educational residence life experience

* Supervise and lead on site Resident Advisors (RA's)

* Manage the On Call Phone and schedule appropriately with RA's and housing staff

* Act as primary resource for housing students in crisis, providing appropriate referral and follow-up with

community and college resources

* Serve as primary contact with our property manager(s)

* Assist with other projects and duties as assigned.

Essential Job Functions

* Ability to work 40 hours per week.

* Maintain primary residence onsite at housing location.

* Excellent computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft 365: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Forms,

and SharePoint.

* Ability to learn new computer programs and database management systems and demonstrate proficiency

given adequate training.

* Ability to analyze and interpret data.

* Ability to think critically and strategically to develop new strategies and goals.

* Ability to talk on the phone.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to communicate effectively with students,

faculty, staff, potential employers and/or other external constituents.

* Ability to communicate difficult messages in a professional manner.

* Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet frequently occurring deadlines.

* Must be goal and team oriented to build positive working relationships, and conduct business with attention

to ethical considerations, and/or school/accreditation guidelines.

* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, and/or schedule form.

* Ability to calculate figures and amounts that speak to productivity and effective decision-making. Ability to read and interpret charts, graphs and other visually-presented data. Ability to work within stated budget requirements; be fiscally responsible.

* To perform the job successfully, must have adequate knowledge of and willingness to use specialized software such as PowerCAMPUS, Great Plains, Adobe Products, SolidWorks, PowerFAIDS, Canvas, ticketing systems and/or other databases/electronic aids, in order to be as self-sufficient as possible in day-to-day operations. Use and maintain shared network folders to greatly limit reliance on personally stored items and documents.

* While performing the duties of this job, an individual is regularly required to use hands to feel or handle/manipulate objects. Frequently required to sit, lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 25-50 pounds. Must possess good vision and depth perception. Individual is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to climb stairs, set up/tear down displays, etc. Work is frequently performed inside, with occasional outdoor duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

* Master's Degree in Education, Student Affairs, Residential Life, Higher Education, Counseling, or Social Work

preferred. Will consider individuals with Bachelor's degree with applicable experience

* Ability to maintain primary residence onsite at housing location.

* 5+ years of experience working with students in housing, or a similar position with a position within higher

education.

* Previous student housing experience preferred.

* Ability to work 40 hours per week, with evenings and weekends.
