| Position Summary |
The Assistant Director of Football Equipment oversees the comprehensive management, safety, and operational readiness of all football equipment and apparel. This role ensures compliance with governing body regulations (
NCAA and
SEC), supports athlete performance and safety, manages significant inventory assets, and coordinates logistics for practices, games, and team travel. |

- Experience in athletics equipment management, preferably at the NCAA Division 1-A level.
- Ability to work effectively with coaches, administrators, student-athletes, and vendors.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only a limited standardization exists.

- Management of football practice operations throughout daily practices, all while directly supporting the head football coach during practices, walk-thrus, scrimmages, and other on-field activities.
- Supervise daily team events with emphasis on student manager guidance, field preparation, equipment set-up, and practice organization.

- Assist, oversee, and manage all day-to-day aspects of the football equipment room and equipment operations related to team practices and games in collaboration with the Director of Football Equipment.
- Effectively manage a staff of 16 student equipment managers, supervising daily equipment room tasks. Recruit, train, and supervise student managers.
- Develop workflow systems to improve efficiencies and accountabilities.

- Conduct the purchasing, issuance, and storage of all athletic equipment, footwear, and apparel. Maintain inventory and organize the distribution of apparel for all student-athletes, coaches, and support staff within the football department.
- Serve as a liaison for equipment vendors and apparel partners.
- Execute annual Nike apparel orders totaling $1M annually - apparel, footwear, gameday uniforms.
