The Manager, Operations - Enterprise Partnerships is responsible for leading the operational performance, coordination, and continuous improvement of some of Mansfield's largest and most complex enterprise accounts. This role ensures service execution, system integrity, margin protection, billing accuracy, enterprise data analysis & reporting, and cross-functional alignment across the organization. This role directly manages an Account Management team and provides functional direction to less than truckload (LTL) procurement and dispatch resources supporting the enterprise accounts. The role serves as the central point of operational coordination across LTL dispatch, pre-invoice billing, supplier invoice processing, Gainshare reporting and distributions, system workflows, and expanding international operations. This role is considered a foundational leadership role within the organization's enterprise operations structure. The right candidate will have an opportunity to create scalable processes, expand leadership scope, and increase Mansfield's ability to grow Enterprise Partnerships. Responsibilities Operational Leadership
- Own overall operational performance for assigned enterprise accounts, ensuring service quality, billing accuracy, margin integrity, and customer satisfaction.
- Establish, document, and maintain operational expectations and cadence across account management, dispatch, procurement, billing, and reporting functions.
- Generate and Monitor performance metrics, review recurring issue patterns, and margin trends; proactively drive corrective action.
- Partner with LTL dispatch and procurement teams to ensure competitive freight performance, margin protection, and dispatch execution aligns with contractual commitments and service expectations.
- Serve as escalation point for complex or cross-functional operational issues impacting accounts.
Team Leadership
- Directly manage a team of Account Managers dedicated to enterprise accounts.
- Set clear expectations for proactive issue resolution, customer communication standards, reporting accuracy, and operational accountability.
- Provide functional direction and prioritization guidance to LTL Procurement Analysts (in coordination with LTL leadership).
- Support development of team members to strengthen operational discipline and customer-first execution.
Billing, Invoicing, Financial Coordination and Reporting
- Oversee collaboration with pre-invoice teams to ensure billing accuracy and timely processing.
- Coordinate with supplier invoice processing teams to ensure invoice validation and discrepancy resolution.
- Generate, Monitor and understand Gainshare reporting and revenue distributions tied to operational performance.
- Partner with Finance and Accounting to ensure accurate reporting and contractual compliance.
Systems and Process Ownership
- Serve as an advanced operational user of ERP System, ensuring workflow adherence and data integrity.
- Identify system gaps and process inefficiencies; partner with internal teams to drive improvements.
- Reinforce system standards and best practices across Account Management and LTL support teams.
- Ensure operational processes remain scalable and aligned with Mansfield's evolving technology framework.
Cross Functional Coordination
- Act as the primary operational liaison between external and internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate initiatives impacting multiple departments to ensure alignment and execution.
- Prepare summaries of operational performance, risks, and improvement initiatives for senior leadership visibility.
- Support integration of new operational resources and expansion initiatives tied to the account.
Position Requirements Formal Education & Certification
- Bachelor's degree or applicable experience required
Knowledge & Experience
- Five (5) + years of experience in operations leadership, enterprise account management, LTL/freight operations, or related roles.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams in a complex operational environment.
- Proven ability to resolve high-impact operational issues in a customer-facing environment.
- Strong understanding of LTL dispatch, freight economics, and margin management, preferred.
- Advanced systems proficiency; experience with ERP systems strongly preferred.
- Advanced data analysis and reporting skills strongly preferred.
Work Environment
- Hybrid work schedule available after introductory period (3 days onsite / 2 days remote).
- Occasional travel <5%.
- Must be available for extended hours during emergency events or peak activity periods.
