Security Officer - Full Time

As a Security Officer - Full Time in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will welcome associates and drivers, manage visitor check-in, issue badges, and verify credentials at entry points. You will conduct routine patrols, document security-related activity using a computer and/or tablet, and communicate clearly with site leadership. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to site personnel, drivers, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access at entry points by verifying identification and/or credentials, issuing visitor passes, maintaining access logs, and directing individuals to designated check-in areas.
• Monitor inbound and outbound traffic at gates and dock areas by coordinating with operations staff, checking scheduled deliveries and/or pickups, and reporting irregular activity per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including checking doors, fencing, and key areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
