Outage Operations Coordinator

Opportunity Overview:

1-year Onsite

Minneapolis, MN

The Distribution Operations Coordinator manages outage coordination (OC) activities, including scheduling, coordinating, and writing distribution switching procedures that support NSP construction and maintenance work. You will oversee communicating all switching plans that follow safety policies to our teams.

You will prioritize and manage multiple switch plan requests, helping prevent delays when demand exceeds available resources. You will work with the Control Center and internal partners to develop switch plans, secure approvals, schedule work, and support safe execution.

Your Day-to-Day:

• Review upcoming switching needs and draft clear, accurate switching procedures.
• Submit switch plans for internal review and collaborate with reviewers to secure approval.
• Schedule approved switching activities and coordinate timing with the Control Center.
• Handoff switch plans to Control Center operators and follow up on questions or clarifications.
• Support outage coordination by prioritizing requests and managing communication with our teams.
• Ensure all switching work follows established safety guidelines.

Who You Are:

• 3-5+ years of experience as a Troubleman, Lineman, or in a similar distribution electrical role.
• Experience with distribution electrical systems and field operations.
• Experience with scheduling, planning, and managing concurrent requests.
• Oracle NMS experience is a plus.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be$73-77/hr.
