We are looking for an experienced Driver Manager to lead driver training, safety compliance, and performance management across the branch. This role serves as the primary point of contact for drivers, ensuring operational excellence, DOT compliance, and exceptional customer service standards.


Key Responsibilities


Driver Leadership & Performance




  • Serve as primary contact and support for drivers



  • Conduct quarterly 1:1 meetings and ride-along evaluations



  • Track driver hours, miles, productivity, and retention



  • Support scheduling, vacation planning, and on-call coordination



  • Implement driver engagement programs and performance objectives




Safety & Compliance




  • Ensure DOT and company policy compliance



  • Oversee ELD compliance and JJ Keller program administration



  • Participate in post-accident reviews and retraining



  • Audit compliance files and support ongoing safety education



  • Support dash cam installation and related technology




Training & Development




  • Provide hands-on ride-along coaching



  • Develop and implement driver training programs



  • Partner with Operations, HR, and Safety to enhance processes



  • Support advancement programs and workforce development




Fleet & Equipment Oversight




  • Assist with truck maintenance programs



  • Coordinate truck domicile and parking logistics



  • Support driver technology systems (ELD, tablets, etc.)




Qualifications




  • Minimum 10 years of trucking industry experience



  • Valid Class A CDL with HazMat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements



  • TWIC card



  • Strong DOT safety and compliance knowledge



  • Experience with bulk lubricants/fuel delivery operations preferred



  • Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills



  • Ability to analyze performance metrics and drive improvements
