Job Summary

Experienced Commercial Cabling Technicians are responsible for installing, routing, terminating, and testing structured cabling systems in commercial environments. This role involves supporting network infrastructure projects, including wireless access point installations, while ensuring work is completed according to installation standards and project specifications. Technicians will interact directly with client representatives on-site and must maintain a professional presence while performing high-quality cabling installations.

Job Responsibilities




  • Install, route, dress, terminate, and test CAT cabling in commercial environments



  • Support the installation and connectivity of network infrastructure, including cabling for wireless access points



  • Follow installation standards and ensure all cabling is properly labeled and organized



  • Perform testing and verification of installed cabling to confirm proper network connectivity



  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety requirements



  • Communicate professionally with client representatives while working on-site



  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects on schedule and according to specifications



  • Support project timelines that may include overtime and weekend work as needed




Job Requirements




  • Demonstrated experience installing, terminating, and testing CAT cabling in commercial environments



  • Ability to properly route and dress structured cabling according to industry standards



  • Familiarity with common cabling tools, testing equipment, and installation practices



  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship



  • Ability to work directly with clients while maintaining a professional demeanor



  • Willingness to work extended hours, including overtime and weekends, with typical schedules reaching approximately 50 hours per week



  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders or in overhead environments as required



  • Steel or composite toe work boots required
