Description and Requirements

Lenovo is seeking an intern to validate the security of many Lenovo PC products. You will work closely with internal teams and be responsible for testing, validating, and enforcing security standards across Lenovo brands. Advocating and enforcing platform security from both industry and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities (but not limited as listed):

  • Work closely with hardware and software teams to ensure security standards for BIOS and other system firmware.
  • Enforce and advocate Industry, regulatory, and Lenovo corporate security standards for various Lenovo products.
  • Develop testing and validation tools for security in BIOS, FW and SOC.

Requirements

  • Pursuing degree in Computer Science, Platform Security, or similar field.
  • Interest in hardware, FW, and platform security.
  • Interest in low level systems, SOC and reverse engineering.
  • Strong C coding skills and experience.
  • Strong Python coding skills.
  • Familiarity with code development tools Visual Studio, Eclipse, Git.
  • Good understanding of UEFI architecture and EDK preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of industry standards, such as PCI/PCIe, USB, I2C, SPD, SMBIOS, ACPI etc.
  • Well organized, with good written and oral communication skills.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with BIOS FW
  • Familiarity with AI fundamentals
  • Familiarity with SOC
  • Familiarity with code development tools Visual Studio, Eclipse, Git.
