*Description*
The Technical Analyst is responsible for providing support for software-as-a-service (SaaS) and enterprise-wide applications necessary for the collection, retrieval, accessibility and usage of data for internal department planning and activities. The incumbent will work closely across technical teams to ensure software systems are running efficiently with minimal downtime. The incumbent will provide configuration, set up, and updating of the applications, ensuring that data is entered into established tables, fields, and system databases with the highest level of accuracy. The incumbent should be experienced in developing custom queries and building reports utilizing query and flexible reporting tools to facilitate business management decisions. The role will provide recommendations to management concerning changes in applications development, maintenance and system standards to optimize performance and mitigate potential risk with the ability to analyze various metrics to monitor performance and provide insights to management. They are responsible for training users on the applications and setting up user access. They will liaise with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders to provide sufficient support for enterprise-wide applications. Overview We are seeking a Control M Scheduler / Analyst to join a small, collaborative scheduling and automation team. This individual must have deep, hands on expertise with Control M (v9 or newer, web-based) in a scheduling-not administration-capacity. The ideal candidate has extensive experience building, scheduling, and troubleshooting large volumes of jobs in Control M and can hit the ground running with minimal ramp-up. This role is highly visible to the business and requires strong communication, problem-solving ability, and the capacity to support operational teams (e.g., payroll, application owners) in job creation and optimization. Key Responsibilities Daily Operations (Approx. 50%) *Review overnight job runs each morning, identify failures, analyze root causes, and drive remediation. *Manage the incident queue and respond to requests for new jobs, schedule modifications, or troubleshooting. *Partner closely with business units (e.g., Payroll) to understand job requirements, schedule working sessions, and ensure jobs are correctly built and validated. *Support junior scheduler(s) as needed and collaborate closely with Control M Administrators. *Provide on call support approximately once per month, including occasional after-hours work when required. *Adjust work schedule as needed (early start is acceptable and sometimes preferred). Job Scheduling & Workflow Management *Build, modify, and maintain complex schedules within Control M, ensuring proper job dependencies, sequencing, and workflow logic. *Analyze what must occur before and after each step within the schedule to ensure end to end success. *Troubleshoot job failures from a scheduling perspective (not infrastructure/admin-level). *Work within a sophisticated, highly used enterprise scheduling environment. Continuous Improvement (Approx. 50%) *Assess current scheduling processes and identify opportunities to optimize workflows, reduce manual effort, and improve reliability. *Apply knowledge gained from previous environments to elevate scheduling standards and best practices. *Help guide business units toward building more of their own jobs, while ensuring proper configuration, validation, and adherence to standards. *Skills* control m, v9, bmc, troubleshooting *Job Type & Location*This is a Permanent position based out of Cleveland, Ohio. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $108531.02 - $140086.17/yr.
