Overview

A growing, multi-entity organization is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join its U.S. finance leadership team. This individual will play a key role in overseeing core accounting activities, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, and enhancing operational processes across the business.

This position offers strong visibility, leadership opportunity, and the ability to make a measurable impact within a dynamic and evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee critical aspects of the monthly close cycle, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

  • Review and validate journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analyses.

  • Analyze financial results and provide insights related to budget, forecast, and prior period performance.

  • Enhance internal controls, documentation standards, and overall process discipline across business units.

  • Partner with internal and external auditors to support audit execution and compliance initiatives.

  • Ensure adherence to U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies.

  • Support regulatory reporting, tax coordination, and other compliance-related filings.

  • Collaborate on system improvements, automation efforts, and accounting process optimization.

  • Supervise and develop accounting staff, providing mentorship and performance guidance.

  • Contribute to building a high-performance team culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

  • CPA certification preferred

  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in complex or multi-entity environments.

  • Strong technical accounting foundation and understanding of internal controls (SOX exposure preferred).

  • Experience driving process enhancements and managing competing priorities in fast-paced settings.

  • Prior exposure to ERP systems and financial planning tools strongly preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

  • Demonstrated leadership capability and interest in long-term growth within finance leadership.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
