**About the Role:**

You will be an integral part of a talented User Experience (UX) Research team dedicated to bringing world-class user experiences to developer tools. This role focuses on conducting comprehensive UX research for the development tool infrastructure, employing both quantitative and qualitative methods. You will collaborate closely with engineering, design, product management, and business partners, translating complex research findings into actionable recommendations that drive product evolution. Your work will directly contribute to making customer-driven decisions within a lean and agile development environment, helping to define the strategic direction of products.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Design and apply a diverse range of qualitative and quantitative research methods across all product stages, from conception to release. This includes lab-based usability tests, in-depth interviews, surveys, focus groups, and field research.

* Collaborate seamlessly with engineering, design, product management, and business partners throughout the entire research process.

* Translate complex research findings and data into clear, actionable recommendations and present them in compelling ways.

* Integrate insights by triangulating multiple data sources to form a holistic understanding.

* Communicate and evangelize research results effectively to engineering and business teams.

* Champion UX research as an essential and integrated aspect of product development.

* Mentor and coach other roles on UX research best practices and methodologies.

**Qualifications:**

**Must-Have Skills & Experience:**

* Minimum of 4 years of experience utilizing both qualitative and quantitative research methods.

* Minimum of 4 years of experience with a technical background or working within a technical industry, preferably in product development.

* A portfolio or work samples that showcase your previous projects, highlighting your impact and specific role.

* A degree in human-computer interaction, cognitive psychology, behavioral science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

* Thorough knowledge and hands-on experience with a wide array of UX research approaches and methodologies.

* Strong analytical and synthesis skills, with a proven ability to transform research results into valuable product insights.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence diverse audiences.

* Exceptional project management skills, including the ability to effectively manage multiple projects concurrently.

* The ability to work independently and adapt flexibly to rapidly changing schedules and demands.

* A strong aptitude for quickly understanding and mastering new domains and technologies.

* A commitment to valuing diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.

**Nice-to-Have Skills:**

* Strong technical understanding, with a preference for experience in coding or development.

* Familiarity with modern developer platforms and ecosystems, or a strong aptitude for learning new technologies in this space.
