Purpose
This Collaboration Services Analyst is responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing Teichert's Microsoft 365 environment while providing technical support and guidance to end users. The Microsoft 365 Support and Administration professional ensures the security, availability, and effective use of M365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Entra ID. This role combines hands-on platform administration with user support, compliance oversight, and project-based implementation work.
Focus & Scope
Essential duties and responsibilities, i.e. those which are basic, necessary, and an integral part of the job, are indicated below:
- Administers and maintains Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and Hybrid Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory), ensuring platform availability, security, and optimal performance.
- Manages identity and access management policies including RBAC models, security and dynamic group structures, conditional access policies, and just-in-time privileged access workflows within Microsoft 365 and Entra ID.
- Monitors M365 service health and usage analytics to maximize platform adoption, identify underutilized licensing, and proactively communicate service status and changes to stakeholders.
- Manages the email security stack including Microsoft Defender for Office 365, Proofpoint, DKIM/DMARC/SPF authentication, anti-phishing and anti-spoofing policies, safe attachments, safe links, and message encryption standards.
- Administers the Microsoft Teams platform encompassing team provisioning and lifecycle governance, meeting and messaging policies, third-party and LOB app management, guest and external access controls, and integration with compliance frameworks including retention policies and data loss prevention.
- Administers Microsoft Purview policies including data loss prevention, sensitivity labels, retention policies, litigation hold, and eDiscovery workflows to support CIS v8 and NIST 800-171 compliance and information governance requirements.
- Manages Power Platform governance including environment management, data loss prevention connector policies, and Power Automate flow oversight to balance end-user enablement with tenant security.
- Performs regular audits of the Microsoft 365 and Entra ID environment for security compliance and best practices.
- Resolves escalated technical issues and serves as a subject matter expert for M365-related requests, documenting support processes, common issues, and resolutions in the knowledge base.
- Implements new M365 features and services based on business needs; collaborates with the IT team on integration projects between M365 and other systems.
- Develops and delivers training materials and sessions to educate staff on M365 features and best practices to improve productivity.

Role Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
Experience and Industry Expertise:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience administering Microsoft 365 environments.
- Experience in construction, engineering, or industrial industry environment a plus.
Specific Job Requirements:
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug, alcohol, and background investigation.
- Strong knowledge of Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and Entra ID required.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting for M365 automation and management required.
- Understanding of security best practices, CIS v8 and NIST 800-171 compliance requirements, and data governance required.
- Experience with Microsoft Purview (DLP, sensitivity labels, retention policies, eDiscovery) and Microsoft Defender portal required.
- Proficiency with Power Platform administration and governance required.
- Experience with ticketing systems and ITSM platforms required.
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert or similar certification preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune and device management preferred.
- Knowledge of Azure services and hybrid environments preferred.
- Experience administering Proofpoint solutions including Proofpoint on Demand (PoD), Secure Email Gateway (SEG), CASB, and email threat response/remediation workflows preferred.
- Working knowledge of email authentication standards including SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and BIMI preferred.
- Familiarity with ITIL or similar service management frameworks preferred.
- Understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP and DNS preferred.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Ability to preserve confidential and proprietary information and avoid conflicts of interest.
- Must be able to clearly communicate both verbally and in written form with internal and external customers.

Equipment Used:
- General office equipment, telephone, automobile, personal protective equipment (i.e. safety glasses, hearing protection) when visiting plants.

- Physical: Sitting for long periods of time working on the computer or attending meetings. Job site visits require walking on uneven ground, steep slopes, and exposure to extreme temperature and/or humidity. Some lifting of materials and equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Work Environment: Typical office environment with adequate temperatures and lighting, low levels of noise. Demands of meeting tight deadlines. Exposed to the conditions of job sites which can include loud noise, dust, fumes, and extreme weather conditions prevalent at the time. May work various hours, including early mornings, dusk or evenings.
BASE SALARY RANGE:
$85,000.00 - $119,000.00
The range displayed reflects the range the company reasonable expects to pay for the position. The actual base salary is subject to variation due to the role, level, geographic location, relevant education, training, or experience, among other factors.
