About the Job

We're looking for a creative individual with a graphic design background to work with the International Programs & Services Director of International Affairs to create and develop the institution's Global Engagement Annual Report. Our ideal candidate has excellent writing, grammar, and proofreading skills, is someone who is personable, detail-oriented, flexible, and has a willingness to learn. This person must be self-motivated and have the ability to anticipate and prioritize tasks with effective time management skills (both in-person and in a remote setting).

Job Description

  • Provide guidance on the appropriate template for the Global Engagement Annual Report
  • Create the report using Canva
  • Work with the UMD Print Shop to finalize and print the report
  • Coordinate and maintain a schedule of social media posts to coincide with the release of the 2026 Global Engagement Annual Report

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Google Workspace: Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive (docs, sheets, slides, forms, drawings)
  • Knowledge of Canva
  • Prior experience managing departmental social media platforms

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working on a departmental annual report
  • Prior experience working in an international office

Position requirements:

  • Availability to start in immediately and continue employment through May of 2026 or up to one year as
  • Our office is open 8 AM-4:30 PM, M-F. This position requires the availability to work for approximately 10-hours a week (in-person and/or remote), as well as occasional evenings or weekends for special events as needed.

IPS provides high quality international programs and support services to the university community to promote campus internationalization and global engagement initiatives.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $23.12 per hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
