Job Description

The Enterprise Network Engineer is a key member of the Enterprise Network Team, responsible for the day-to-day operations of PCC's global network infrastructure. This role ensures continuous uptime of LAN/WAN hardware, software, and services that support our business-critical manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate stays current with modern networking technologies and implements solutions that align with PCC's operational and strategic objectives. Success in this position requires strong technical expertise, excellent documentation and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to collaborate with technical teams across multiple divisions and facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain PCC's global LAN/WAN network infrastructure, ensuring continuous availability.
  • Implement solutions using traditional networking methods, cloud controllers, CLI, and automation.
  • Configure and support enterprise network hardware including HPE/Juniper, Extreme Networks, and Cisco switches, routers, access points, and firewalls.
  • Utilize network monitoring and management platforms such as HPE/Juniper MIST, Extreme CloudIQ, Hamina, SolarWinds, and ServiceNow.
  • Provision, integrate, and deploy complex networking solutions locally and at scale.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation, network inventories, and runtime playbooks.
  • Work closely with facility level technical teams to ensure stable end-to-end connectivity from end-users through datacenter/cloud operations.
  • Participate in incident response. This includes an after-hours on call rotation schedule. Able to work with cross functional teams during unplanned outages.
  • Perform network performance tuning, troubleshooting, and capacity optimization.
  • Support business needs within a complex 24/7 global manufacturing environment.
  • Maintain proper adherence to PCC IT processes, procedures, and change management methodology.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field - or commensurate with a combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting LAN/WAN solutions in an enterprise environment.
  • Expert level configuration and operational knowledge of HPE/Juniper, and Cisco switching, routing, wireless, and firewall platforms.
  • Hands on experience with network monitoring/management tools (MIST, Extreme CloudIQ, Hamina, SolarWinds, ServiceNow).
  • Ability to deploy and integrate complete site networking solutions.
  • Familiarity with networking and cloud automation tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially during high impact incidents.
  • Excellent time management and documentation skills.
  • Experience tuning and optimizing network performance.
  • Vendor certifications (HPE/Juniper, Cisco, etc.) are a plus.

For informational purposes only, the range for annual base salary for this role is $91,500.00 to $105,500.00 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Executive Bonus Plan, paid out up to 20% of the applicable annual base salary, based on the Company's performance in the prior calendar year. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.
