Responsibilities

New York Institute of Technology seeks an Assistant Professor at its New York, New York campus. This position does not require travel. Applicants should have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service. They will be expected to teach courses in all aspects of Management Science, Management Information Systems, and Statistics, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Knowledge and ability to teach courses related to risk management is desirable. Applicants should develop a research agenda in conformity with the mission of the School of Management and their domain. They are also expected to provide departmental and community service work for the School of Management and New York Tech. Specific Responsibilities: Teaching: Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Management Science, Management Information Systems, and Statistics. Employ innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning and engagement. Research: Conduct impactful research in the fields of Management Science and Management Information Systems leading to publications in peer-reviewed business journals. Foster interdisciplinary research opportunities and collaborations within the university and with external partners. Curriculum Development: Contribute to the continuous improvement of the curriculum, incorporating emerging trends and technologies in various areas of Management Science and Management Information Systems. Service: Participate in departmental, college, and university committees. Engage in community outreach and professional development activities that promote the fields of Management Science and Management Information Systems.



Qualifications

Ph.D. (or foreign academic equivalent) in Management Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a closely related field. Experience must include: Experience with statistical analysis software such as STATA, R, SAS, and SPSS. Experience with data analysis tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Python.
