CEI Records Keeper

RK&K is looking for an experienced Construction Record Keeper to support our Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) operations for the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and municipal transportation projects. This role involves close collaboration with Construction Project Managers, Superintendents, and Inspectors to maintain accurate records for roadway and bridge projects across Texas, ensuring quality and successful project delivery.

Essential Functions

• Promote an ethical work environment.
• Foster effective communication with personnel, clients, contractors, and the public.
• Support all aspects of contract administration from preconstruction to project close-out.
• Attend meetings related to contract management.
• Maintain construction project records and processes.
• Review and modify contract documents to reflect changes.
• Monitor records for compliance with state and federal laws.
• Determine payments due to contractors for completed work; prepare and submit monthly and final estimates, verifying calculations against work logs.
• Ensure contractors comply with federal requirements related to EEO and wages.
• Contribute to constructability reviews for roadways and bridges.
• Report daily to project sites or RK&K office as required.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in highway construction record keeping is preferred; similar relevant experience will be considered.
• Ability to maintain or obtain TxDOT Precertification in Category 11.10.1.
• Familiarity with TxDOT's Quality Assurance Program.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; AASHTOWare, SiteManager, and ProjectWise.
• Acceptable driving record and ability to pass a Criminal History Background Check.
