The Front End Developer supports the Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA) in maintaining and enhancing the Managed Care Insights (MCI) portal used to monitor Medicaid managed care operations. This role is responsible for implementing state-specific portal customizations, resolving production issues, and delivering minor enhancements to improve usability and functionality. The Front End Developer collaborates with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to ensure dashboards, reports, and visualizations provide actionable insights for overseeing Contracted Entities (CEs) and Medicaid program compliance.

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Front End Developer: $

Pay commensurate with experience.

Front End Developer Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintain and enhance the user interface and portal customizations for the Managed Care Insights (MCI) solution supporting the Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA).
  • Develop and implement minor enhancements to state-specific customizations of the MCI platform to improve usability, functionality, and performance.
  • Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve production issues affecting the MCI portal and user experience.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to ensure portal features meet reporting, monitoring, and compliance requirements for Contracted Entities (CEs).
  • Support the delivery of dashboards and visualizations that integrate data from CEs and the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) to provide actionable insights for OHCA oversight.
  • Maintain documentation for portal customizations, workflows, and user-facing features.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the MCI platform's front-end performance, accessibility, and reliability.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Front End Developer Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience developing and deploying applications using React for dynamic, responsive front-end interfaces.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with Node.js for back-end or full-stack development to support front-end applications.
  • At least 3 years of experience working with Microsoft Azure Cloud, including Azure DevOps, Azure Functions, and Azure SQL.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, maintainable, and secure web applications in cloud environments.
  • Strong understanding of front-end technologies, web frameworks, and best practices for UI/UX, performance, and accessibility.
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving production issues in web applications.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders, to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with source control, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal

  • 2+ years of experience supporting Medicaid applications or healthcare systems.
  • Experience with dashboards, reporting portals, or data visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with state-managed care or government healthcare systems.
