Project Engineer

Project Engineer position is currently available at Belcan in Rockford, Illinois. This is a full-time job, on-site, direct job with benefits. To be considered, you will need an Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or similar and a minimum of three years of experience in project engineering, mechanical engineering, and/or mechanical design roles. The successful candidate will assist and sometimes lead investigations on complex aerospace components. Autonomy is expected. Products are cutting-edge military and commercial aerospace, engine mounted fuel pumps.

Job Duties:
* Assist in root cause investigations, including product analysis and proposed solutions.
* Support the closure of quality notifications, supplier requests for information, change requests, deviations and other related documentation for the pumps sustaining team.
* Travel to supplier site, if necessary, to evaluate technical issues with hardware.

Qualifications:
* Experience with precision products.
* Experience with root cause investigations.
* Experience with complex engineering drawings and product test procedures.
* Experience with engineering changes, deviations and dispositioning of damaged components. Experience with estimating budgets and schedules.
* Three - five years of experience in Project Engineering for aerospace mechanical products.
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to prioritize and balance multiple assignments
* Due to the nature of our work, US Citizenship is required

Desired but not required skills:
* Previous design engineering experience on mechanical products in the aerospace field.

Compensation:
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $70,000 to $85,000 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
