FIP Inspector - JLR

Description

Essential Duties:



  • Perform visual inspection of vehicles; walk around vehicle to inspect for defects, damages, and imperfections.
  • Notate any issues on VCR/CPO and enter data into the JLR system when it becomes available.
  • Inspect functional operations; doors, window locks, seatbelts, steering, compartments, seat covers, emergency releases, keys, etc.
  • Facilitate installments; guides, manuals, warnings, floormats, etc. adhering to CPO.
  • Release vehicles for further service and/or work as needed.
  • Ensure a spotter is present when backing up vehicles.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and follow all policies and procedures regarding safety.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm with possible overtime and/or weekend work as needed.



Minimum Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid US Driver's License
  • Obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC Badge) issued by the Department of Homeland Security
  • Experience operating automatic and straight (manual) shift vehicles.



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Must have demonstrated commitment to safety.
  • Must possess problem-solving abilities and be detail oriented.



Physical Working Attributes:



  • Work in confined spaces
  • Work at heights of approximately 15 feet.
  • Lift, push, and or pull up to 20lbs
  • Extended periods of standing, kneeling and bending
  • Exposed to all outdoor elements including heat, cold, rain, insects, and other conditions, which may exist from time to time.
