Description

As a HVAC/R Installer, you will repair, maintain, replace and retrofit all types of HVAC and Refrigeration equipment for the benefit of our customers.



  • Install, maintain, and repair various types of Residential HVAC systems, including rooftop units, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and air handling systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system malfunctions and determine the necessary repairs to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Perform system upgrades and controller cutovers
  • Perform wiring checkout and assists in systems start-ups
  • Perform programming sequence checkout
  • Work independently
  • Assist in the training of other technicians
  • Interpret HVAC and electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints to ensure proper installation and service.
  • Work in a professional manner in both occupied finish spaces and construction sites.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards during all installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks


Qualifications

  • 1-3 years in HVAC technology, troubleshooting, system controls and repairs
  • Experience reading and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documents.
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • EPA Universal refrigerant certification required
  • Knowledge of safety practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and clients.


Physical Demands:



  • Lifting weight up to and over 75 lbs. in both a vertical and horizontal range of motion.
  • Crawl, stoop, stand, reach (push/pull) & bend to perform necessary work.
  • Able to ascend and descend on extension ladders, step ladders and stairs using feet and/or hands and arms.
  • Able to drive a company vehicle and walk around at job sites.
  • Reading, computer input, typing and answering the phone.
  • Clarity of vision at both over 20 feet and under 20 inches.
  • Able to judge depth (distance & space relationships), have a good field of vision, and identify and distinguish colors.
  • Adjustment of eye to bring object into sharp focus.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time 40-hour position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Work Environment:

This position requires the employee to work both inside and outside. The employee may be subject to loud noises and hot and cold temperatures while on work site.

Travel: Daily travel to job sites throughout MA and RI
