2026 Financial Data Analyst Intern - Remote

We areseekinga detail-oriented and motivatedFinancial DataAnalyst Internto join our Finance Services team.The intern will supportTreasury, Accounts Payable, and Payroll functionsbyassistingin financial reporting, data analysis, and process improvement initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in corporate finance while developing technical and analytical skills in a collaborative environment.

Symetra's Internship Program for Summer 2026 is entirely remote - all interns will learn and work in a virtual setting. The internship duration is 12 weeks, and we offer two sessions: May 18 - August 7 or June 15 - September 4.

Key Responsibilities



  • Assistin preparing and analyzing financial reports across Treasury, Accounts Payable, and Payroll.


  • Perform data cleaning, validation, and reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data.


  • Develop dashboards and visualizations to communicate insights to Finance leadership.


  • Collaborate with Finance team members to improve reporting efficiency and streamline processes.

Qualifications



  • Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, Business, or relatedfield.


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.


  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis tools).


  • Exposure todata visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) preferred.


  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.

Compensation:

Hourly Range: $22.00-25.00

Work Authorization
