Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit
The Office of Campus Activities and Programs is a department within the Division of Student Affairs at UNC Greensboro ( UNCG). The mission of the Office of Campus Activities & Programs ( CAP) is to provide opportunities for students to create meaningful relationships, explore interests, and develop a sense of self and an appreciation for their community. We support opportunities for transformative learning through involvement. We encourage participation and engagement in student groups; planning, executing, and experiencing campus events and programs; and fostering leadership in the community are cornerstones of involvement. Specific departmental responsibilities include the coordination of student group affiliation, student group leadership and training development, campus wide programming, and administrative advising of select student groups including Activities and Campus Events ( ACE), Fraternity and Sorority Life, the Student Government Association ( SGA), and student media. Additional responsibilities include planning major campus traditions such as Rawkin' Welcome Weeks, Homecoming, All Greek Leadership Summit, Winterfest, the Spartans of Excellence banquet, SOAR presentations for new students, and other traditional programs.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Associate Director for Campus Activities and Programs, the Program Coordinator for Campus Activities & Programs ( CAP) advises and supports student groups to manage and promote development and campus-wide programming.
