Summary:
Responsible for the leadership and effective management of all operational aspects of the Anatomic Pathology Lab operations and human resources management. Oversees Regional Lab Managers and reviews escalated hiring and discipline recommendations as needed. Creates and participates in the strategic planning process, and aligns leaders and staff regarding strategies for attainment of organizational goals. Accountable for meeting all regulatory requirements within their division. Approves division budget requests and proposals.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Bachelor's Degree required: Medical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory, Chemical, Physical, or Biological Science degree preferred. Master's Degree preferred (Industry experience will be considered in addition to education).
  2. License/Certifications: Certification as a Medical Technologist , Medical Laboratory Scientist, Clinical Laboratory Scientist, or as a Categorical Technologist (e.g., C, H, MB, BB, M) by a recognized professional organization (e.g., ASCP, AMT) preferred.
  3. Experience: 5 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience preferred.
  4. Proficiency in Word, Excel, Powerpoint required
