JOB TITLE: Chief Engineer Technical Support Analyst (Contract Key Position), ANM3

LOCATION: NUWC, Newport, RI

SUPPORTING: TSUB Combat Systems PMS 425

JOB CATEGORY: Full-Time

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must possess a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.

WORK MODEL: Patrona Corporation prioritizes the benefits of flexibility and collaboration, whether that happens in person or remotely. This position requires travel approximately 1 to 2 times per month to support in-person meetings, test events, and training events as needed

The salary range or hourly rate provided reflects the typical range for this position and represents just one part of Patrona Corporation's comprehensive total compensation package.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum Qualifications:
    1. Bachelor's Degree in technical, engineering, or cybersecurity field.
    2. 10 or more years of experience in engineering/science management, operations research analysis, or a relevant field.
    3. 5 or more years of experience with Navy acquisition and/or In-Service Programs.
    4. 2+ years of experience with Navy Engineering Support.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    1. Master's Degree in technical, engineering, or cybersecurity field.
    2. 15 or more years of experience in engineering/science management, operations research analysis, or a relevant field.
    3. 10 or more years of experience with Navy acquisition and/or In-Service Programs.
    4. Experience leading a project and interfacing with an end item customer.
    5. Experience with Navy, or DOD, Acquisition programs.
    6. Experience with Navy, or DoD, Test and Evaluation programs.
    7. Experience with US Navy Submarines or Navy combat systems.
    8. Experience with Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical Systems (SWFTS) programs and processes.
    9. Experience or familiarity with the BYG-1 submarine combat system.
    10. Experience with Agile software development.
    11. Microsoft Project experience.
    12. Experience with web-based project management tools (such as Jira) including creating and managing projects, boards, and workflows.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

General duties include technical engineering support to the Submarine Combat and Weapon Control System Program Office, providing direct support to the PMS425 Chief Engineer with technical oversight and direction to the integration of BYG-1 Non-Developmental Item (NDI) Applications. You will perform technical reviews on submittals including drawings, system diagrams, technical manual, test/install procedures, test results, contract deliverable reviews, delivery milestones. You will troubleshoot, analyze, and determine operating problems, make appropriate recommendations and changes to correct deficiencies in coordination with the program CHENG and Technical Direction Agent (TDA) team. You will provide technical concurrence for the NDI applications in support of entrance into formal test and delivery milestones.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to analyze and process engineering program documentation.
  • Ability to develop/document/implement new processes.
  • Ability to analyze program risks and develop risk assessments.
  • Must be proactive, work independently, and within a team environment.
  • Proficient with running a meeting and taking minutes/managing actions.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
