We are seeking a Sr. Production Control Planner to work on-site at either our Rhinelander, WI or Iron River, MI location.

The Sr. Production Control Planner will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining production schedules that optimize resource utilization, minimize costs, and meet customer delivery requirements. The primary duties include analyzing sales forecasts and customer orders to create detailed production plans, monitoring inventory levels, and adjusting schedules as needed to accommodate changes in demand or supply chain disruptions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production planning within a manufacturing environment, excellent analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules
  • Coordinate with procurement, engineering, operations and logistics teams
  • Identify process improvements, implement best practices, and leverage data-driven insights to enhance overall production efficiency.
  • Monitor inventory levels and adjust plans as needed
  • Analyze sales forecasts and customer orders
  • Identify and implement process improvements
  • Ensure timely completion of production targets
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including procurement, engineering, quality assurance, operations and logistics to ensure seamless workflow and timely completion of production targets.
  • Participate in capacity planning and resource allocation
  • Resolve production issues and bottlenecks
  • Generate reports and present findings to management
  • Other duties as assigned.



QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of experience in production planning
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Proficiency with ERP and planning software is highly desirable
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience leading or mentoring teams
  • Problem-solving mindset
  • Attention to detail
