Secure is United Health Group's homegrown Identity and Access Management solution. It is an enterprise-wide access request workflow and access provisioning tool, used to ensure that people have the right access to the right systems for the right reasons. Our Product Owners collaborate closely with our Secure Product Manager, and our agile team Scrum Master, Technical Analysts, and development team members to define the product vision and roadmap.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Scrum Master to join our team. The Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) Scrum Lead is responsible for supporting a global Agile delivery team for Secure. As a Scrum Master, you will play a critical role in driving the successful delivery of software solutions. You will be responsible for facilitating the agile development process, liaising with product and automation teams, and ensuring efficient collaboration to deliver value to our business customers.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate all Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring adherence to Scrum framework
  • Act as a servant leader and coach to the development teams, guiding them in adopting and implementing agile principles and practices
  • Work closely with product and automation teams to ensure that the software solutions deliver value to business customers
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance team productivity and delivery efficiency
  • Promote effective communication and collaboration within and across teams, ensuring clear understanding of project priorities, timelines, and dependencies
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and help teams make decisions by fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment
  • Monitor and track project progress, ensuring that the team is meeting sprint goals, deliverables, and timelines
  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project delivery, escalating as needed
  • Collaborate with other Scrum Masters and Agile coaches across the organization to share best practices and drive continuous improvement

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of industry experience, with a solid focus on US healthcare industry
  • 4+ years of experience in liaising with product and automation teams to deliver value to business customers
  • 4+ years of experience and understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and their application in software development projects
  • 2+ years of experience working with virtual, globally distributed teams
  • Experience in software development environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Identity and Access Management
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Dev Ops / Team Foundation Server (TFS)
  • Proven excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Proven ability to handle multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proven solid problem-solving and conflict resolution skills

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
