If you are a high school student interested in career development, enjoy helping people, and want hands-on experience in both banking and marketing, the High School Teller & Marketing Ambassador Youth Apprentice position at Educators Credit Union may be the perfect fit for you.

Youth Apprentices serve as the face of Educators Credit Union in two important spaces: their home branch and their high school branch. In this role, students gain real-world experience by supporting members with everyday financial transactions while also acting as brand ambassadors who help promote the credit union through events, campaigns, and peer engagement.

This position is ideal for students who are professional, dependable, comfortable speaking in front of others, and excited to represent Educators Credit Union within their school and community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome members and provide friendly, professional service.
  • Process member transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and transfers.
  • Balance cash drawer and complete daily transactions accurately.
  • Share information about credit union products and services and refer members as needed.
  • Serve as a Marketing Ambassador by helping plan, promote, and execute campaigns.
  • Represent Educators Credit Union at school and community events, including tabling and presentations.
  • Engage confidently with peers, staff, and community members.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Friendly, professional demeanor with strong customer service skills.
  • Comfort with public speaking, presentations, and engaging with peers and adults.
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a positive, cooperative attitude.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
  • Willingness to learn about financial products, services, and marketing initiatives.

Education & Program Requirements

  • Must be a Junior or Senior during the 2026-2027 school year.
  • Must be enrolled in a High School Youth Apprenticeship program with early release.
  • Ability to provide reliable personal transportation to and from assigned work locations.
