Job Summary
  • Responsible for providing prompt and courteous customer service and information to members, colleagues, and unrelated parties regarding NRECA's benefit and pension plans and other NRECA activities, such as cooperative.com.

  • Is resourceful and collaborative in adhering to call volume standards while maintaining the highest standards of quality service to internal staff and the membership.

  • Positioniseligible for NRECA's hybrid schedule whichallows flexibility to work from home up to 2 days per/week.

What You'll Do
  • Serve as the first level Member Contact Center Associate and handle all incoming calls and emails to NRECA.

  • Assists callers by either first-call resolution or by transferring the call/email to the subject matter expert.

Qualifications What's Required or Preferred of You
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent

  • Associate's degree in Business preferred.

  • Telephone experience, preferably in an inbound call center.

  • Experience answering telephone calls related to insurance/retirement plans, preferred.

  • Experience using call tracking software, helpful.

  • Ability to comfortably navigate multiple computer applications throughout the day.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Attention to details.

  • Effective problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Work the late shift, 10:15 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., M-F

  • Ability to report to the office when required.

Work Schedule
  • Hours: 10:15 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., M-F

  • Hybrid Schedule: 3 days in-office (Tuesdays and Thursdays required; one additional day of your choice) and 2 days remote. Must live within a commutable distance from the Lincoln office.

Essential Physical Requirements
